Welllll — I’m trying out this genre. It’s kinda like puzzle solving. I particularly like going back to old Rock and R&B songs as a starting base. Give me Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Brian Wilson, Tom Petty and Johnnie Cash … oh and Hank Williams. Them boys knew how to write and rhyme ….
“It was a teenage wedding and the old folks wished them well…”
Okay, I’ll take 3 Doors Down, Def Leppard, Ava Max, Alan Walker, the Chainsmokers, Crash Adams , .38 Special and 5 Seconds of Summer. I’m 74 going on 24.
Wellll ol’ chum — I’m 81 and bopped to the original Rock n Roll! But any rocking music is great — as long as it ain’t ABBA!! (A special dig for my darling wife…🕺)
I forgot to add John Fogerty — who I knew in high school with the rest of CCR in El Cerrito CA waaaay back in the day…
Also I rate Eagles Don Henley and Glen Frey as excellent songwriters— and John Mellancamp is pretty good … and Crosby , Stills, Nash & Young… Can also toss in Otis Redding and Ben E. King. Another King was the songwriting Queen— Carol King. The re are so many greats!
Love it and you not only hit the nail on the head but you also speak for almost all of us (except the MAGA holdouts)
Wellll — as Elvis would say, “Thunk ya verrry mush”
😂😂😂
Thanks—I’m pretty sure that Johnnie Cash as a “God fearing man” would approve…
I think so also.
As they would say in the south, "Ya done good kid".
You’re a poet and I think you know it!

This is some imagination and dominion of words! Congratulations!
Rosa Marie — it just came to me… and Johnnie Cash is one of the greatest!
"Ring of Fire" forever!
Maybe we can have Donnie J. engulfed in a ring of fire!!
